UAE’s Sheikh Mohammed extends support to Sudan to end crisis

Right from the beginning of the Sudan’s War conflicts, the UAE has been actively involved in bringing peace to the Sudan. By several humanitarian aid, UAE supporting the Sudanese people. The risk of famine is highly alarming in Sudan, where UAE came forward and pledged $100 million aiming to alleviate the crisis and prevent deterioration. UAE also assisted with food supplies in support with the key partners like UN agencies. Launched Air bridge , supplied 9000+ tons of food and medical supplies to the Sudanese people.

UAE, in its continuous aid process, called for an immediate ceasefire to protect the civilians, as millions of Sudanese have been displaced from their homes. Recently there was a call to temporary international cooperation with Egypt, Qatar to support and rescue Sudanese from the crisis. Yesterday UAE President HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan had phone conversation with Sudan’s army chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, signalling his willingness to engage in dialogue and potentially play a role in finding a solution on the crisis.

This has been marked as the first public communication between both the leaders. It reflects the UAE’s commitment and dedication through its diplomatic efforts to bring peace to the region.Hoping for the positive outcomes after the initiative.
